fter obtaining undergraduate degrees from Creighton University, Mr. Nelson received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in Lawrence, Kansas. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Nelson worked for nearly six years as a prosecutor in Wichita, Kansas and Omaha, Nebraska.

Mr. Nelson has worked as a criminal defense attorney since leaving the Douglas County Attorney’s Office in 2004. Mr. Nelson is licensed to practice law in Nebraska and Kansas. He has argued cases before the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals and has appeared in many county, state and federal courts in Eastern Nebraska. Mr. Nelson is married with two children.
